What We Are About

The BlueArchitect.org is a nonprofit 501(c)3 that is dedicated to achieving global water fluency through public education, community outreach, and demonstration projects.

Marilyn Crenshaw, The Blue and Green Architect, began compiling a database of green building links in 2000, as a resource for her architectural firm and to share with building professionals and the local community. Within a few years the database had grown to 1,000’s of links and outgrew the architectural office’s capacity to maintain it. It became obvious that the informational database was worthy of becoming its own project and needed to expand to the next level. In 2012, the TheBlueArchitect.org was formed to promote a sustainable global water system through water architecture, serve as a global hub connecting all entities concerned with water in order to accelerate interaction and mass water fluency, and establish a “new normal” water policy for how society lives in harmony and abundance with water on the planet.

TheBlueArchitect.org offers a wealth of instructional information via links, videos, articles, and continuing education credits for professionals and students regarding:

  • water issues, challenges and solutions, global water statistics, global water energy nexus
